Missionaries We Support
Antioch Congregational Christian Church supports
sixteen different missionaries worldwide. These missionaries not only
are from our county and state but also include missionaries from Florida,
Arizona, California and Texas. Missionaries from Papua New Guinea, Argentina,
Austria, Mexico, Lebanon, and England are also supported by Antioch. Please take
a few moments and read a brief summary of each of our missionaries. We are very
proud of the work they do for God and the sacrifices that they make daily.
Support given locally:
- Clinton County Salvation Army Food Pantry
As a church we support the Salvation Army Food Pantry
not only with money, but also with volunteers working in the thrift shop,
sorting clothes and ringing the bell during the Christmas Kettle Appeal.

- Youth for Christ
Youth for Christ is an interdenominational organization that reaches out to
young people with the teaching of Jesus Christ. The mission of Youth for Christ is "to communicate
the life changing message of Jesus Christ to every young person". Antioch
supports Clinton County’s Youth for Christ with financial support in order to
bring the youth of Clinton County to a personal relationship with Christ. Youth
for Christ hosts a free breakfast every Wednesday morning 6:30am-7:30am,
while school is in session, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2056 East
Wabash Street, Frankfort. Middle school and High school students are all
invited to attend.

- Living Alternatives
The church
supports the Crisis Pregnancy Center not only with financial support, but also
with volunteers working as counselors. Antioch assists with donations of children's
clothing as well as laundry duties so that the clothing is clean
and fresh when given to someone in need. Living Alternatives also has two yearly
fundraisers, a walk-a-thon and a rock-a-thon, which members of Antioch
participate in and support financially.
- Child Evangelism Fellowship
Larry and Bonnie Habegger of Kokomo, Indiana
Larry and Bonnie Habegger are the Directors of
Six-County Child Evangelism Fellowship. Included in their many duties as
directors is leading Training Children Effectively Courses, teaching Good
News Clubs and training Good News Club teachers. They attend committee
meetings, and they report to pastors about CEF in hopes of raising interest
and involvement with their local congregations. CEF travels to county fairs
where they paint faces and tell children about Jesus. They plan fund raising
banquets and attend Christian Youth In Action training courses in the summer
that help train summer missionaries. We are asked to pray for
those who faithfully serve on Six-Co.’s Committee/Board. New members are
always welcome. The Habeggers are thankful for the funds that have come in
this year. Over $23,000 came in to pay for the Summer Missionaries training,
salary material and transportation expenses. They’re not on top but God
has been faithful in supplying funds when they are needed. We are also asked
to pray for regular monthly supporters.

Ministry Advancement since 2001, we now work in the Media Department
creating tools for our staff in the various departments of AIA: Pro
Sports, Campus, International, WTRC, Women’s Ministries, Sports Teams,
and the Superbowl, NBA, & Final Four outreaches. Working with Media
allows us to serve our fellow staff by providing strategic resources
that allow them to focus on the task at hand: Reaching people for
Christ through the platform of sports.
Shawn oversees distribution of AIA Media, connecting and resourcing
church and Para-church ministries around the world. In additional to
overseeing distribution, he was the Executive Producer of the
evangelistic DVD Reversing the Curse featuring
the Boston Red Sox, as well the Associate Producer for our annual
Power to Win NFL films (Patriots/Joe Gibbs 05,
Colts 06, Seahawks 07). Over 200,000 of these DVD’s have been
distributed in the last 18 months by staff, individuals, churches, and
other ministries across the country exposing people to the Gospel and
reaching them for Christ! Locally, over 50,000 of the Colts
Real People, Real Faith booklets where handed out at
the RCA dome before a Colts game on January 1.
Most recently he has worked on The Prize which
was used extensively during the 2006 Soccer World Cup and translated
into 32 languages. Over 500,000 copies have been distributed in 196
countries world-wide, and 81 countries, with a reach of 271 million
people have broadcast this film on TV. Passion and Power
is our newest video and is devoted exclusively to women’s sports which
opens our films to a whole new audience, and the sequel to our NBA film
Give me the Rock will be coming in 2007.
More than Gold, a film for the 2008 Beijing
Olympics is being planned as well. With trips to Germany, Turkey, and
China this year, AIA Media and our line-up of DVD's are truly having a
global impact.

Tim and Mary Lou Tiner and Family of
Austria
Yodeling missionaries? That's
right! The hills have come alive with the sound of music, as the musical Tiner
Family has been singing a new song in Austria. The Lord has used this
multi-faceted family to proclaim the gospel in a wide variety of ways ... even
by yodeling.
Tim and Mary Lou Tiner have served as missionaries in Austria since 1991. They
first worked in Salzburg and more recently, just outside of Vienna. Tim, a
gifted teacher, is passionate about leadership training and church development.
Over the past decade he has trained a number of Austrian men who are now
actively serving the Austrian church. Some have planted new churches, others are
pastoring existing churches or serving as key lay leaders in different areas of
Europe.
Austria, a nation that is less than 1 percent evangelical Christian, has a great
need for sound biblical training and teaching. Most of the churches are small,
without a full-time pastor and desperately in need of leaders with a firm
foundation and training in God's Word.
From a very young age, the Lord was working in Tim's life, preparing him for
ministry. His call to full-time ministry was quite clear, even as a child.
Having accepted Christ in his mom's Good News Club, Tim's life centered on the
church and ministry. The Lord has gifted Tim for the unique needs of Austria
through his experiences serving on staff with Youth For Christ, at Christian
camps, through music ministries, and finally as a pastor in California and
Kansas.
One of the greatest blessings the Tiners share is the joy of ministering as a
team. Each one of their five children has been actively involved in the family's
concert ministry. The family has traveled all over Europe using music as a
vehicle to share the gospel. The three oldest children, Julianne, Joshua and
Janna are married. Julianne and Joshua are serving in career missions. Janna is
on staff in the children's ministry at the Tiners' home church in Indiana.
Josiah is attending Bible school in Hungary. Josef, the youngest, is still at
home and remains active in ministry with his parents.

workers have helped to complete 611
translations, making God's Word available to more than
76 million people. This has always
been done hand in hand with local communities. But now more

partnership with churches and agencies worldwide. |

- Child Evangelism Fellowship
Terry and Wilma Flannigan of
Ireland
|
For almost 70 years God has been
using Child Evangelism Fellowship to bring the love
of Jesus Christ to children around the world. The
Word of God puts a high priority on children. They
are near to God's heart and we believe that He is
uniquely concerned about their spiritual welfare.
Without the foundation of a relationship with God
and training in Biblical principles for life they
are unequipped to face what life will throw at them.
With workers in more than 150 countries around the
world CEF has personal, individual ministry with
more than 5 million children each year. God has
given us a passion to not only bring children into a
right relationship with God, but to disciple them in
His Word and establish them in Bible teaching
churches so that they can become mature in their
faith. |

- In The Father's Hand Orphanage
Keith and Cindy Lashbrook, Haiti
In Haiti the life expectancy for men is 49 and for women, 50 years of
age. It is not uncommon for mothers to die while giving birth. These factors
combined leave many of God's children orphans. 85% of the population of
Haiti is under 18 years of age. Our vision is to know and to do the will of
God, to help with the great commission of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
and to respond fully to the call on our lives. We desire to be totally
dependant on God for everything we may need to fulfill the calling to start
and operate an orphanage in Haiti (provision, health, guidance, protection,
and wisdom). Our heart's cry is to raise Haitian orphans in the love, joy,
and peach of Christ, so Jesus can and will be glorified through us.
